KUA is the FL utility where self-consumption IS the headline. Most FL utilities sell battery as resilience + NBT hedge; KUA sells battery as ongoing savings — the ~$0.09/kWh retail-vs-avoided spread is captured every kWh the battery keeps onsite. For grandfathered customers (interconnected ≤ 5/31/2023), the additional pitch is the 10/31/2028 cliff: their favorable demand-credit terms expire and the battery is the only hedge that doesn't rely on KUA leaving the rules alone.
